Our Story

At CubCam, our journey started the same way many great products do — with a problem we couldn’t solve.

As lifelong business owners, we’ve always been passionate about developing products that solve everyday problems in practical, thoughtful ways. In 2022, my wife Carly and I launched Ollie and Zara, an online baby goods business focused on innovative, useful and beautifully designed products for parents.

As parents ourselves, we travelled extensively with our young children, both around Australia and overseas, and one thing always frustrated us — taking a baby monitor with us.

Traditional baby monitors were bulky, difficult to pack, needed constant power, and were often hard to position where we actually needed them. We kept thinking:

Why isn’t there a baby monitor designed specifically for travel?

When we couldn’t find one, we decided to create it.

That was the beginning of CubCam.

Over the next two years, we tested countless prototypes with one clear goal:

To create a truly wireless baby monitor with a universal mounting system that could go anywhere.

Whether in a hotel room, caravan, Airbnb, tent, or staying with family, we wanted parents to have a simple, flexible monitoring solution they could set up in seconds.

After extensive development, CubCam was born.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created, but even more grateful for the response from parents. Hearing from families who tell us CubCam has made travel easier, bedtime less stressful, or simply solved a problem they thought they had to live with — that means everything to us.

At our core, CubCam is a product built by parents, for parents.
